Currently living the first act of a sitcom episode

Walked to paper/printing store to pick up Save the Date mailings for our wedding. They were ready two days ago, and it took me until now to get over there. Get to store, see sign pasted on door: “back in ten minutes.” Decide to wander around neighborhood, take in the sunshine.

See a wine store, go in out of curiosity. Look at wine for ten minutes. Pop out to go back to paper store, sign still up. Go back to wine store, look around for 10 more minutes and decide to pick something up while you’re there. Buy wine.

Go back to paper store. Paper store still locked, “back in ten minutes.” Decide to go back home to cut your losses. And that’s how I tried to get my Save the Date mailings and came back with wine instead.
