This, the opening track to their album It Was Hot, We Stayed in the Water, totally encapsulates the acoustic/amped dynamic that I love in their music. Phil Elvrum makes the most immaculately produced music I’ve ever heard, taking special care to keep the deliciously lo-fi sound through the process to the final product. And don’t get me started on how awesome his songwriting is, especially in the following album The Glow, Pt. 2.
